Fikes launches new program to ensure long term contractor success!

Fikes Truck Line has introduced a Financial Business Planning
program as another way to promote and support the success of its Owner
Operators.  At no cost, Fikes Owner Operators at all experience levels can
take advantage of expert advice on tax planning, investment options, saving
strategies and much more.

“It’s vital to us that our business partners succeed,” says Max Campbell
director of recruiting and contractor services.  “We’ve conducted a pilot
program for about six months and it’s gone exceptionally well so we felt it was
time offer it to every new lease who signs on with us.”

The financial planning is provided by The Alliance, a resource for
independent trucking professionals.  Kevin Rutherford, a certified
financial planner and industry leader with his own small fleet, provides
financial planning free of charge to all current Fikes contractors and each new
contractor that leases with the company.

“We want to help all independent contractors realize the importance of having a
business plan for the future. To be profitable, you have to adapt and adjust to
the changes in the industry,” says Campbell.  “At Fikes, we don’t just say
we want Owner Operators to do well, we actively seek ways to help them be the
most informed, successful professionals they can be.”
Fikes currently has three primary areas of opportunity for Owner
Operators:  Intra-Texas runs, Midwest Regional runs and its 48 state
authority.  The company also has intrastate authority in Arkansas,
Missouri, Alabama, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas.

In addition to company-paid financial planning, Owner Operators at
Fikes enjoy outstanding benefits such as receiving 78 percent of gross revenue,
generous home time, weekly settlements and direct deposit, all permits
furnished, safety awards, at-cost equipment, Comdata fuel card, and much
more.  “We work hard to keep the lines of communication open with Owner
Operators while respecting their independence and individuality,” says
Campbell.

Owner Operators, or drivers considering becoming an Owner Operator,
are encouraged to find out more about becoming part of a company that values
their contribution by calling 1- 800- TO-FIKES.
